10 minutes setup time (including opening the amazon box) and I was connected to the internet via this excellent one box solution. Box contains a high quality ADSL filter / splitter, manual on CD-ROM, ethernet and ADSL leads (plus a small mains power supply). Other than a web browser, no software is required on client PCs.Box has the following primary functions:
ADSL modem, 10 / 100 mbps hub
Wireless access point, Double aerials
DHCP server, Web setup
Hardware firewall
ADSL connection is rock solid. Wireless works great in mixed mode (it allows 11mbps and 54mbps at the same time). Hardware firewall required no configuration.
5 minutes being guided by the firmware in the box (it has its own web server and DHCP server built in) and the connection to the internet was established.
I used the Belkin to replace an old network hub and got an unplanned for plus: My home network now runs at 100mbps (it was working at 10mbps).
If you dont already have wired or wireless network cards, you will need to buy some (this was expected and saves on costs).
My strong recommendation (and Belkins) is the apply a password to administration of the box, plus I would suggest at least a 64bit WEP key.
Having ordered a cheaper combined unit from EBUYER (returned in disgust) and had lots of trouble with very poor standard electronics, I can say this Belkin combined unit has all the features you will need and is of quality build.
I cant complain about Tech Support, as I have had no need of it, but I can say that I welcome the lifetime warranty (what ever that really means).
The unit does run warm to the touch - so it remains to be seen how well it will survive over time.
RECOMMENDED KIT for a wired and wireless home ethernet network.
